These gates were opened in 1927 by Edward, Prince of Wales and his brother Prince George. This is the front entrance to the Canadian National Exibition that runs for 2 weeks around the end of August. A carnival on a grand scale, the CNE features hundreds of amusement rides, animal shows, bingo, casinos, an automotive building, pavillions and don't forget the food building !
