Halloween is on Monday, but most of Toronto is celebrating this weekend. Check out an event that sends jack’o’lanterns floating down the river, has zombies roaming the streets and celebrates the Mexican Day of the Dead festivities. All part of the fun, games and Halloween events happening in Toronto this weekend.

 

A Zombie Prom to Remember

In what is Tina from Bob’s Burgers dream come true, in real life, Toronto is getting its very own Halloween zombie prom. Complete with sexy corpses, Hazmat suits and more, there’s a DJ spinning all night, photo shoots, makeup help, and so much more to help you party like it’s the end of days.

When to go: Friday, 9:00

Tickets: $40 at the door

 

Brockton Zombie Walk

A good zombie walk says Halloween better than any bowl of candy. Watch of throw yourself in amongst the stuffing hordes. The Brockton walk is culturally inclusive and free for people to attend.

When to go: Saturday, noon

Where at? McCormick Park

Tickets: admission is free

 

Day of the Dead Halloween Fiesta

Pinatas, sugar skulls, giant skull processions, face painting and DJ’d music, anyone? Dress up in your best Dia de Los Muertos outfit and celebrate the haunted season with fellow painted partiers.Suitable for all ages.

When to go: Saturday, 9 pm

Where at? The Rockpile W, 5555 Dundas W

Tickets: $10 and up

 

Twilight Pumpkin Float

With 21 years of this Halloween shindig still growing strong, consider the Twilight Pumpkin Float as a cure for your Saturday night hangover. Basically, you’re going to show up, carve a pumpkin and send it floating down the river.

When to go: Sunday, 4-6 pm

Where at? High Park, 1873 Bloor W

Tickets: admission is free, pumpkin $2/50 each
