Love to run? Try out these running events coming up in Toronto

The nice weather’s got us itching to lace up our Nikes. If you’re feeling the urge to stretch those legs, check out this list of 3 running events happening in Toronto over the rest of June.

Spring Fling

June 12
5K, 10K, 15K

The track follows the Don River, through Sunnybrook and Wilket Creek Parks, taking racers out of the concrete jungle for a few hours.

The Color Run

June 18
5K

Similar to Colour Me Rad, the Color Run has everyone starting out wearing white, but pummelling each other with bags of colour along the way. This one ends with a Finish Festival, with music, dancing and more colour throwing.

Toronto Waterfront 10

June 25
10K

A super fast race that’s mostly downhill attracts some of the world’s best 10K runners. Look for live music along the way.

Erin Cardone: Born on the Prairies, Erin Cardone grew up knowing there was more to life than canola fields and AAA Alberta Angus. So she escaped, living in Europe and Australia, white-knuckling it through plates of calf brains and raw horse meat, and learning languages she can't remember anymore. After a stint as a jaded, skeptical journalist, she changed tack and began writing rather awesome blogs and showing businesses that advertising is dead, so long live social media, with her businesses Legendary Social Media. She now splits her time between various Canadian cities, Costa Rica and wherever else the wind blows.
