Enter today\u2019s Ikea Hack: it\u2019s a dining room table that\u2019s perfect for apartments because of its compact size and airy feel. Plus, assembling it is so ridiculously easy. No one will ever guess it\u2019s Ikea.<\/p>\n<h2>The parts. You&#8217;ll need:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/ca\/en\/catalog\/products\/50211104\/\">Jokkmokk table w\/ 4 chairs<\/a> \u2013 $169.00\u00a0OR\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/ca\/en\/catalog\/products\/60251137\/#\/60251340\">Linmon table top in birch<\/a> 47 1\/4&#215;23 5\/8 &#8221; \u2013 $23.99<\/li>\n<li>Hairpin table legs, try <a href=\"http:\/\/hairpinlegsforless.com\/shop\/hairpin-legs\/\">these<\/a> x 4 \u2013 $19.00 each<\/li>\n<li>Power sander (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Wood stain (optional)<br \/>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>\nDo it.<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ve got choices here. First, if you opted for the table and chair set, you\u2019re going to want to remove the existing table legs and the trim from underneath the table top. The colour of the Jokkmokk table top isn\u2019t the best, so here\u2019s where that power sander is going to come in handy. Give the whole table top and sides a good sanding, then get rid of any sawdust and stain the whole thing. When it\u2019s dry, continue to the next step.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you\u2019ve gone for the Linmon table top (highly recommended), sanding and staining is optional. You could even opt for the white colour Linmon table top, which looks great with black hairpin legs.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, you\u2019ve probably guessed the last step: Attach the hairpin legs to the tabletop, and voila!
