And nothing makes random objects such as vases, shelves, nightstands, picture frames and chair legs look cooler than ombre paint.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"BodyA\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Ombre is that look you get when the colour of an object transitions from light to dark. So today\u2019s Ikea hack isn\u2019t really an Ikea hack, but a how-to on how to ombre stuff in your house, whether it\u2019s Ikea or not.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h4>The parts. You&#8217;ll need<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"BodyA\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Cordless paint sprayer, rent one like this from Home Depot \u2013 $30.00<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"BodyA\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">light paint<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"BodyA\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">dark paint<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"BodyA\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">water<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"BodyA\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">a huge sheet<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"BodyA\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">some cardboard to practice on<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"BodyA\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">mask<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>\n<h4>Do it.<\/h4>\n<p>No matter what you\u2019re painting, start by practicing on a piece of cardboard.You\u2019re going to paint the light colour first, then the dark. Then, mix the dark colour with some water to dilute it, and spray some over the light so it looks ombre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"BodyA\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Now do this with your furniture or random household items.
