We found you a throwback-style rave to annihilate you on Friday night, and the cure for your hangover on Saturday is a poutine-eating contest. Sunday, chill out with poetry and a farmer\u2019s market so you\u2019re ready to get back to the damned grind on Monday. Here are your events happening in Toronto this weekend, September 30-October 2.<\/p>\n

Can You Feel It 90s Rave\/Early House<\/a><\/h3>\n

Pretend you\u2019re wearing baggy, high-waisted jeans and a sports jersey and dance your face off like it\u2019s 1993. This rave party will have two DJs playing acid house, techno, garage, breakbeat and 90s electronic jams all night<\/p>\n

Smoke\u2019s Poutinerie 7th Annual World Poutine Eating Championship<\/a><\/h3>\n

If there\u2019s anything to get excited about this weekend, it\u2019s a poutine-eating contest. This one happens in Yonge-Dundas Square, has a KISS tribute band and features a ton of poutine, ready for mass and rushed consumption.<\/p>\n

Etsy Market at Evergreen Brickworks<\/a><\/h3>\n

Etsy vendors from Toronto and elsewhere are coming out of their online caves to meet buyers face-to-face at a market happening at Evergreen Brickworks Farmer\u2019s Market. About 20 Etsy sellers will be part of the market for the day to sell handmade, vintage and unique goods.<\/p>\n

East End Poetry Festival<\/a><\/h3>\n

Get your fill of poetry and meet poet laureate Anne Michaels. There will be poetry, poems and poetry readings, as well as a panel discussion and live music. It\u2019s family friendly and showcases Toronto\u2019s multiculturalism and diversity of language. Plus, there\u2019s refreshments!<\/p>\n
