It&#8217;s a winding drive off Kennedy Road near Lawrence Avenue East. On one side of the road is a park and on the other, nice three-storey townhouses with garages.<\/p>\n<p>The street got its name in 2002 and at the time, <b><a href=\"http:\/\/aaron.ca\/columns\/2002-10-26.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">some realtors<\/a><\/b> were appalled at the idea of giving such a name to a street in a neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, three-bedroom townhouses on Mike Myers Drive were selling for just under $500,000.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4303\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4303\" class=\"wp-image-4303\" src=\"https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/srt.jpg.size_.custom.crop_.1086x723-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"ttc above ground in scarborough\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/srt.jpg.size_.custom.crop_.1086x723-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/srt.jpg.size_.custom.crop_.1086x723-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/srt.jpg.size_.custom.crop_.1086x723-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/srt.jpg.size_.custom.crop_.1086x723-510x340.jpg 510w, https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/srt.jpg.size_.custom.crop_.1086x723.jpg 1086w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-4303\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ahh&#8230; home sweet Scarborough.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Mike Myers&#8217; parents Eric and Alice immigrated to Canada and raised Mike and his two older brothers in Scarborough. Mike Myers began acting in commercials at the age of two. He went to school at Sir John A. MacDonald Collegiate Institute and Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute, both of which are in Scarborough.<\/p>\n<p>Wayne Campbell, the lead character on Wayne&#8217;s World, started getting traction in the early 1980s, and it&#8217;s pretty well known that Wayne&#8217;s character and life is based on Myers&#8217; own, and became a favourite sketch on Saturday Night Live later in the 80s.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4304\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4304\" class=\"wp-image-4304\" src=\"https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Waynes-World-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"cover of wayne's world\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Waynes-World-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Waynes-World-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Waynes-World-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.torontorentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Waynes-World.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-4304\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Throwback time.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The first Wayne&#8217;s World Movie was released in 1992, and was a major hit.
