We are a couple in our thirties and are both teachers. We are looking to rent out our clean and spacious basement apartment (unsure of square footage). We are looking for a respectful, clean, and quiet tenant to live below us.
The apartment has a good sized bedroom and closet, a cozy living room/den with exposed brick and recessed lighting, a three piece bathroom, and a kitchen with a working stove/oven and fridge, along with a fair sized countertop/bar. The bar stools in the photos are available for use in the apartment. The tenant will also have sole access to the washing machine that hooks up to the sink and works great!
This apartment has its own private entrance and no connection to upstairs so it is quite private. However, we do live right above, so we are looking for a quiet tenant who does not throw parties or play loud music. For medical reasons, pets of any kind and smoking of any kind are NOT permitted inside the apartment or anywhere on the property.

The house is located on a quiet street that is a short walk to/from the Rogers/Silverthorn intersection where the 161 Rogers Rd. bus picks up and drops off. If you walk an extra 5 minutes to Rogers/Caledonia, you would also have the option of taking the #47 Landsdowne Bus with an easy connection to the St. Clair streetcar and the Line 2 subway. We are also pretty close to the 400 and 401 if you are a driver.
Please note: Tenant will be required to provide previous landlord references, a credit report, and proof of income/pay stubs, and a copy of your photo ID. First and last month's rent will be due on or before move-in date and a 1 year lease is recommended to begin.
This apartment is perfect for a clean and considerate professional or couple, and is available on Feb. 1st, 2021, possibly earlier.
