Awesome Toronto events happening June 24-26

This weekend marks the start of some HUGE festivals in Toronto, including Taste of Toronto for the foodies among us, and the beginning of the Toronto Jazz Festival, which carries on for 10 days. And to fill in the gaps, there’s a ‘90s trivia night happening for all of us old people on Friday, and a super fab Night at the AQUEERium on Sunday, put on by Pride Toronto. All that and more happening this weekend in Toronto, June 24-26.

Taste of Toronto

Starting today (Thursday), you can eat your merry little way through some of the best grub Toronto has to offer. Taste of Toronto will stuff you with tastings of more than 70 dishes by 20 of TO’s best chefs, and you can take in more than 30 cooking demonstrations. It’s not just about food – there’s vodka tastings, wine tastings and coffee tastings too.

When to go: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, various times

TD Toronto Jazz Festival

With KC and the Sunshine Band showing up, you know it’s going to be good. Toronto Jazz Fest starts Friday and runs until July 3, bringing in some awesome names like the Oliver Jones Trio, the Chick Corea Trio, Grace Potter and a Lee Fields and the Expressions/Allen Stone double bill. Nice.

‘90s Trivia Night

Brush up on your Fresh Prince knowledge and get ready to feel old, all while celebrating the ‘90s’ big comeback. Gather a team of six people and face off against other old people, to identify ‘90s songs, and answers to dumb questions in the hopes of winning prizes.

When to go: Friday, 7 pm
Where at? The Central, 603 Markham

Pride Toronto: Night at the AQUEERium

Drinks, music, super glam outfits, roaming entertainment and fish – it’s basically a match made in heaven. High-profile DJ Kitty Glitter will be on hand spinning tunes for the night while Sapphire Titha Reign and Judy Virago roam through to say hello. 19+.

When to go: Sunday, 8 pm
